What is Mindfulness?
In general, mindfulness is the practice, or a state of purposeful awareness on our everyday activities and in our lives in general. It is a conscious observation of a situation, of our thoughts, our body and our emotions in the present moment. It is being in the here and now, fully aware of what is happening inside yourself and outside yourself.
Breathing Meditation
This is a very simple and most profound practice. You can start with 5 or 10 minutes and work your way up to 30 or 45 minutes. This is a great daily practice!
S.T.O.P. — An Easy 10-Second Practice
Often we go about our daily routine without paying much attention to how we feel physically and emotionally. We go through the motions and then wonder why we are so tired, worn out or even angry by the end of the day. Just a few moments of conscious awareness can change our whole experience. One very well-known mindfulness practice is S.T.O.P.
