This course supports a life of resilience and thriving. The CBRT was designed by Nalanda Institute founder and director, Joe Loizzo, MD, PhD.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
MBSR is a group-based 8-week program (plus one week for orientation), in which participants learn to relate differently to stress, develop self-awareness and cultivate kind attention and equanimity; through the practice of mindfulness. An evidence-based approach trusted worldwide, MBSR systematically introduces mindfulness meditation and gentle movement. You’ll explore techniques to lessen the impacts of stress, chronic pain, and daily pressures, ultimately enhancing your capacity to meet life’s obstacles with clarity and calm.

Mindfulness for Depression & Anxiety (MBCT)
MBCT is a group-based 8-week program, in which participants learn to recognize and related differently to patterns of mind that tend to lead to negative ways of thinking. Through the practice of mindfulness and cognitive therapy exercises, participants learn to observe their moment-to-moment experience in the mind and body, exploring automatic patterns of thinking and feeling with a focus on kindness and care. This course is open to everyone, and particularly beneficial for those dealing with recurring stress or anxiety, with practical tools to for resilience and greater well-being.

With over a decade of experience leading transformative group programs, Victoria was trained internationally in mindfulness and compassion practices—including MBSR, MBCT, and CBRT. Victoria holds a Master’s degree in Mindfulness-Based Approaches from Bangor University in Wales and Certificate in Contemplative Psychoterapy from the Nalanda Institute for Contemplative Science.
She teaches for institutions like the Mindfulness and Health Institute and collaborates with the Nalanda Institute, while also offering her own online and in-person programs. She co-founded the Spanish-language International Mindfulness Day and is a member of BAMBA and the International Mindfulness Teachers Association.
